Alex reached out as her and her family were passing through Colorado on their move to sunny, California. Alex and Ryan met in Boulder and Ryan’s family own a stunning property near Castle Rock and its where we settled on taking their Castle Rock Family Photos.

Meaningful Locations

Anytime my couples suggest a location that has meaning behind it; I am all about it. Ryan’s family have a beautiful home near Castle Rock, Colorado with stunning views, acres of beautiful landscape and endless spots for us to roam for their family photos. They asked if their dogs could be included in their family photos and that is always a yes. Freya was right around six months and just as sweet as can be! Alex and Freya even wore matching outfits, similar to these and they matched the mood and landscape so well. Another option as a shop is this one, if you have a bit older daughters.

Enjoying the Moment with Your Family

As a mom, I get the amount of time and pre-thought goes into your family photos. The timing, the location, the outfits… the biggest advice I can give it to fully embrace the moments that unravel once were actually shooting. For the Dean Family the weather was turning quick and we had some dark clouds coming into Castle Rock. We embraced the wind, frolicked around the fields and made the very best of it all. Everything turned out better than you could imagine and we ended the shoot with some of the best photos. I already can’t wait to do them all over again, someday!
