Elli and Hunter drove into Colorado from out of town to check off some other wedding necessities. We ended up sneaking in their Spring engagements in Colorado. We lucked out with the prettiest weather and the most beautiful mountain views. You really never know what you’re going to get in Colorado, especially near the mountains.

Rampart Reservoir engagement shoot

Colorado has some stunning locations for engagement shoots. Coming from Colorado Springs for myself, I often have to drive up North towards Denver to meet up with couples or even further into the mountains like Breckenridge or Vail. That is why this spot is always a suggestion to my couples. Rampart Reservoir is still an hour from Colorado Springs, but way less crowded than some other popular spots. (Edited to add that this spot may be permanently closed off now.)

Enjoying the moment

I love engagement sessions because there is no pressure for timelines or anything. We get to get to know each other and really have fun and just run around and be playful. Elli and Hunter were an actual dream to work with. They really leaned into to being playful and enjoying each other. Half way through their Spring engagements in Colorado Elli did an outfit change and it was such a beautiful dress that matched the scenery!
