Colorado has no shortage of mountains to photograph at and around. When couples come from out of state and fly into Colorado Springs and don’t want to drive North to Denver, I always offer Woodland Park as a spot for photos. Wagma and Greg chose to celebrate their anniversary in Colorado and with a fun mountain top couples shoot!

Mountain Top Woodland Park Couples Shoot

We arrived in woodland park close to sunset but with enough time to enjoy the sun and roam around before taking fun photos right at sunset and blue hour. When it comes to style– these two did it right. I love an all black moment. It can be dressed up or it can be casual. Often when we’re taking photos in outdoor locations I love a good mix. Some couples opt for one outfit being casual and one being more dressy. Wagma chose the perfect balance of both for their mountain top couples shoot. Wildflower Season in Colorado

It can be hard to pin point wildflower season in Colorado. Typically it’s early summer and most of the time the most popular locations are more into the mountains of Colorado. In Colorado Springs, you can find little bit of wildflowers that pop up! This area in Woodland Park always has beautiful little bits of yellow flowers. They add just a little pop of color. Other popular areas for wildflowers are in Crested Butte or closer to Boulder. If roaming around mountain side isn’t your vibe other possible locations could be a rooftop or even this location at Roxbourough State Park!
