Loved these classic family portraits in Washington with the sweetest little family.

Ashlee and Josh invited me to their intimate Italy elopement a few years back and we have stayed good friends ever since. There is nothing more special than getting asked to be apart of another session from a past couple. Anytime I see one of my couples get pregnant, my heart skips a beat. I am always overjoyed to be apart of another special part of their lives. There is something so special about seeing my couples go through new stages in life, and being able to capture it for them.

Photography is more than just a job to me. Family photography is where it started for me and it lives deep within my work to this day. I love a good back lit, golden hour portrait session with my couples but the candid, in home, family members smiling or friends hugging it where the real emotion is. Ashlee and Josh’s Washington family portraits embodied those special moments that I live to capture.

I know these photos will become heirlooms that her little girl is going to look back at one day. They’ll be giving to grandparents and hung around the house. This is the reason these family sessions mean so much to me.

Their baby girl Logan is about six months in this photoshoot. Logan was just waking up from her nap and literally the chillest babe. Ashlee and Josh had a few of their wedding photos that I shot hung around their house and It was so special to see. I loved getting to see Ashlee and Josh as parents and i’m already counting down to do it again!
