A beautiful micro wedding in the heart of Alys Beach, Florida.

When Gwen and Alek first reached out to me to shoot their intimate wedding in Florida, I was couldn’t be more excited. They were so on top of everything and had all the vendors and details covered. They were so welcoming and just such good people and their day just felt so easy and beautiful.

Gwen and Alek had never been to Alys beach, but they just knew it was the perfect location for their wedding day. Alys Beach is a luxury seaside community and is the perfect balance of simplicity, and beauty. They made the drive from Gainesville and planned their wedding the day after their 10th anniversary.

They held their day at a beautiful Airbnb in Santa Rosa Beach that overlooked the gulf. Santa Rosa beach sits on the “Emerald Coast” of Florida. It is known for it’s pristine white-sand coastline and sparkling blue ocean. The grounds of the airbnb were gorgeous. It had a beautiful lawn surrounded by palm trees, and an infinity pool in the back. The bridal party started their day getting ready at the Airbnb. The back of the property served as the ceremony and reception site.

The ceremony site was beautiful. They backdrop of their ceremony was a simple wooden wedding arch, and right on the water’s edge. The weather on this November day was perfect, so warm and sunny. For the ceremony, one of their close friends was the officiant, which made it so light-hearted and fun. After that, they said vows right as the sun was about to set and It was so sweet and intimate. Their love for each other was just so special.

Lastly, after the sun went down, they enjoyed an incredible dinner catered by Carrabbas down by the pool. There were no kids in attendance, and the guests all had a night off from their kids. The dance floor was filled with energy! I love when all the guests are up out of their chairs and on the dance floor . Just because a guest list of 100 + people isn’t possible right now, that doesn’t mean you have to cancel all the dancing and fun!

This Micro Wedding in Alys Beach was the perfect way to celebrate Gwen and Alek’s love.
