While texting Kaley about possible engagement photos for her and Colin, she really just wanted candid, natural photos of the two of them. Well, Mac included of course! Engagement photos are always my favorite because there are no timelines, no pressure to go from one thing to the other and it always feels like I’m just getting to hang out with new friends. Can’t wait to share this coastal Washington engagement shoot with you!
We landed on meeting at this area by the water near Discovery Park outside of Seattle, Washington. I had flown into Washington earlier this day and this location was super easy and accessible to get to from the airport. If you haven’t been to Discovery Park, it is definitely worth the visit! Pudget Sound made this coastal Washington engagement shoot the perfect spot for us to run around and Mac really enjoying playing in and out of the water.
If you haven’t had the chance to explore Seattle, another stunning spot to take engagement photos or visit would be Pike Place and finding a fun rooftop to explore like we did here.
I loved so much that Kaley and Colin showed up in everyday clothes and nothing too out of the box. Don’t get me wrong, I love a fancy shoot just as much but this felt so much like them and that translates in your photos! If you don’t feel comfortable don’t pick a setting that feel awkward. If date nights are your thing then we can find a place downtown to take engagements. Being outside in nature, walking through trails and being by the water just felt so fitting because Kaley and Colin are also getting married lakeside at Lake Chelan at Larc Hill Winery! So fun when the engagement photos align with also the upcoming wedding.
If you’re looking for more engagement inspiration check out this post from another foggy day in San Francisco with Lindsay and Kevin.
