San Diego Engagement Photos at Cardiff by the Sea | Claire + Joe

Loved these San Deigo Engagement Photos at Cardiff by the Sea! I love couples who get into the details of their engagement shoot. Well, in this case it was just a couples shoot that we did a day prior to their intimate wedding. It was still so much fun getting to run around Cardiff by the Sea with them.

San Diego Engagement Photos Location

We started their San Diego Engagement Photoshoot at The Waverly restaurant in Cardiff. This restaurant was absolutely adorable with all the indoor plants and minimalist decor. I am already wanting to go back! It was such a great start to the session. After a pre-photoshoot cocktail, we headed down to to Solana Beach where we hiked up this small path for sunset and then back down to the beach for some more playful photos. It was such a gorgeous day out and we caught the prettiest golden hour. The wooden stair path down to the beach was one of my favorite spots to shoot & i loved how those photos turned out!

Neutral Engagement Photo Outfits

Claire and Joe wore the perfect beach engagement photo outfits! Claire wore a tiered white midi dress paired with her birkenstocks. She brought a long a denim jacket to throw on after the sunset. Joe wore neutral earth toned colors with green pants and a linen blue button up. I loved their beachy effortless vibe and were perfect for these San Diego Engagement Photos!

Don’t have time to fit in your engagement photos?

If engagement photos aren’t a possibility due to a time crunch or any other reason another option is always just adding on a couples session before or after the wedding. A lot of my work is out of state so its always fun to add on an additional session. These are always laid back and we just get to run around and me basically third wheel on a date night for my couple. This day engagement session was the day before the wedding it was so fun experiencing those giddy, nervous, and exciting moments with them!
