I was so excited to shoot these Denver Maternity Photos with Mallory and Scout. Mallory and Scout were the first couple I ever got to photograph in Colorado. Their wedding is always one of my favorite stories to tell. You can read all about their Aspen wedding here. I loved being able to tell a story of this time in their life as well. Mallory and Scout wanted to include their fur babies in this shoot which was so fun. We went to a nearby park in Denver and got to play around in the tall grass and shoot until the sun started to set. It was the prettiest evening.
Mallory is also an artist herself, and painted this beautiful calendar print for when baby McCamy is due. Since shooting their pregnancy reveal they’ve found out they were having a boy and I am so excited for this next chapter. Cannot wait to be a part of all the future family photo sessions in Colorado with them!!
Maternity photos are such an important memory to capture. It makes my heart so freaking happy to know that these photographs will be seen by new grandparents, future littles, and themselves. My girls look at their own baby photos so often that it puts these shoots into a different perspective for me while shooting families. Having maternity photos to look back on is a standing reminder of the magical time when you were growing this little human!
We shot these Denver Maternity Photos at the best time in her pregnancy! She was bumping but she was not uncomfortable moving around! I would say 28 to 36 weeks is the best time to set up your maternity shoot with your photographer! This way, your bump is definitely showing but you’re not too close to your due date!
