Engagement Photos at Wahclella Falls

These Portland engagement photos on the Columbia River Gorge turned out to be some of my favorites.

I will be shooting Lindsay and Brian’s summer wedding this year. This was the first time that I met this sweet couple. It was so special to finally meet them in person. I love shooting engagement photos because I get to spend time with my couples before their big day!

They flew me out to Oregon to meet them for their Portland engagement photos. Oregon is one of my favorite places. I love going out there to shoot engagements, weddings, and elopements. Lindsey and Brian love the outdoors so it was only fitting to spend our evening along the Columbia River Gorge.

Adventure Engagement Photos on the Columbia River Gorge

First, we started our shoot with a short hike to Wahclella Falls. There are an endless amount of beautiful locations along the gorge and this is one of my favorites. When we got down there, we had the place completely to ourselves. The views at this waterfall are absolutely gorgeous. I loved the contrast of the green moss, blue water, and fallen trees. It was really beautiful to finally get to hike through here again since the fires happened a few years ago.

After running around the waterfall for a bit, they did a quick outfit change and we headed to the next location. Lastly, we found a beautiful flower field not too far away near Rowena Crest. We spent the rest of the evening here running around the wildflowers as the sun went down. It was the perfect evening spent outdoors in Oregon.

This whole session was filled with so much fun and beauty. It felt more like an adventure session hiking and exploring with my couple. It was perfect. I could not be more excited for Lindsay and Brians’s Tuscany-inspired wedding later this summer!
