The Paint Mines in Colorado is one of my favorite locations to shoot at. There are so many different spots and corners to shoot some amazing photos. The light just hits different here and looks unreal with the desert backdrop. I love the curves in the clay and the colors that make up the formations which make for such unique photos.
The Paint Mines Interpretive Park is located in El Paso County in Colorado. I love this spot because of all the unique spaces. It is located on 750 acres of land with plenty of space to roam around and find spots away from crowds. Each time I shoot here I always leave so inspired by the landscape and ready to create more!
When Taylor and Ryan’s engagement photos were coming up, I knew that the Paint Mines would be the perfect location for their photos. I was so excited to take them here and show them around. We had the best time adventuring along the clay rock formations and watching the sun set over the Paint Mines.
These engagement photos turned out so unique and beautiful. You would never guess that these were taken in the middle of colorado. I had the best time shooting with Taylor and Ryan, it’s hard to not smile when looking at these photos!
Taylor was just the sweetest with the most infectious smile. Their love was so effortless, laidback, and easy. I loved watching and capturing the connection between Ryan and Taylor. Taylor wore classic denim jeans, a black denim jacket, and the cutest Lack of Color wide-brimmed hat. Ryan’s Canadian tuxedo of denim on denim brought that colorado feel to their engagement photos. These two are so stylish and their outfits brought this whole shoot together.
This was really just the best night at the Paint Mines in Colorado! Hanging out with Ryan and Taylor that night made me so excited for their wedding in Colorado this summer.
